I like the design, although with "Americana" as their namesake, I expect the ships to be dreadnoughts or battleships- these look like explorers built upon the Excelsior's components, the way the Constellation was built upon the Constitution's.

This Ships are Multimission Ships. Starfleet uses them as Explorers, but the Taskforce, a Suborganisation with tactical Tasks, inside of Starfleet, uses them as Medium Battleships.

Americana Class... It's about right with the number of engines, but I would expect more weapons. :P

More seriously, is their more info on this class that is not in German?

History and facts of the class:

The Americana Class was developed after the Dominion War (2375) to the somewhat dated as middle class Cheyenne cruisers to replace within the next 15 years. The design of the Cheyenne class was largely retained, though the concept has been modernized from the ground up. The Americana class has weapons of medium thickness and is not a battle cruiser, per se This class is intended primarily for police operations on a larger scale, escorts and security missions. But even in open space battles the Americana class can be quite a dangerous opponent. Through its four nacelles she is able to hold for long periods of the maximum speed, making them ideal for almost FRF. In addition, the Americana class has a few laboratories and highly sophisticated sensors, making them also suitable for research and reconnaissance missions. Both the regular Starfleet, and the task forces are using this type of ship.

History and facts about the U.S.S. Venezuela:

Strong weaponry is appropriate for the name. I've copied the data to a personal web page, if I ever put up a website again, it'll be there.

Cool, would you like to give me the URL?
UncleRice Featured By Owner Mar 2, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
I have a full ST web site on my computer, but it's not on line. I just created the web coding. At some point I will put it up. I have this page stored so I can give it to you when I get a home for it.
